We spent a lovely afternoon at the very posh Dorchester Hotel on park lane, London for the exciting launch of national florist day. The very first of its kind and brainchild of Karen Lindsay. A day to celebrate our industry from growers to wholesalers, florists, students, and delivery drivers.
A day to raise awareness of our wonderful and yet complex world of flowers.
A team of fabulous ambassadors and I, spent the day with Caroline Marshall Foster, who turned Karen’s idea into a beautiful reality with her years of experience in the flower world. The following is a list of ambassadors that made the event happen:
We chose 100 faces of floristry, people that stood out and went above and beyond. Those that deserved recognition for the part they play. To my surprise, I was picked by the team to be one of those faces!! Although I was an ambassador for the movement I was not on the selection committee, it was such a surprise.
It was an honour to be part of this core team, and I am already excited about the future of national florist day.
The actual day was June 8th and beau-k was a flagship store, we decorated to the rafters with balloons, bunting and floral displays. We had competitions, raffles, and lots of prosecco!!
Thank you to all that came along and joined in the fun.
Here’s to National Florist Day 2025.
